Then you can do anything else you want to it, export it as STL and import into your slicer for 3D printing.
Inkscape SVGs treat the upper left corner as the origin, so offset the placement (attachment) of the sketch by half the Inkscape document size left (negative) and up (positive) - if you start the value with an equal sign, you can use math in the value to do the calculations for you (eg. You can hide (or delete) the path objects now, we don't need them any more. Go into the draft workbench and select all the paths and choose the option to convert to sketch. Back in FreeCAD, import the SVG (as geometry). Set the text, making modifications to connect the letters that weren't connected. I set the document size in Inkscape to the same size as the plate I made in FreeCAD. I jump over into Inkscape so I can create the text. I pad the rectangle in the reverse direction so I can keep using the same plane for the text without having attach to a face. I set its size, and center it on the origin. First I create the "plate" using a rounded rectangle. Video demo of setting text using this method So, I like to set the text in a 2D vector app, do all my tweaks there, then import the shapes into my CAD app. I don't like doing text directly in 3D apps, because there usually aren't as robust of controls on things like kerning (between letter spacing) - it's also difficult to edit the letter shapes (like making script connectors) beforehand. Part of this, too, is considering what you want to do with this after the model is made. If you are looking for something more like a continuous design element that gets a lot more complicated, it won't be impossible, but it will be very cumbersome to do in fusion until we implelment this capability. 
In this attached model I made a cut into the cylindrical face then patterened the cut around the cylinder.

You can use a series of patterns around a cylinder to get close to what you are looking for. Hi right we don't support "wrapping" like the paper video shows.
